Thanks to everyone that made last month's 1st Annual SongPop Community Challenge a huge success! The community banded together and created an awesome "70's Singalongs" playlist. So let's get another round going, shall we?
The theme of this month's playlist is, naturally... Winter Wonderland! The rules are simple:
1) Suggest up to ten songs to add to the playlist.
2) There is no decade restriction this time around; songs can be from any year!
3) Any genre is acceptable, but they all have to fit the general theme of wintertime fun. Whether they're holiday standards, or songs about snow, sledding, cold weather, so on and so forth... let us hear 'em!
4) To limit the playlist from being taken over by any one artist, songs by the same singer or group will be limited to the five most popular choices.
Submissions to this community curated playlist will be accepted through November 30, 2014. After this date, the SongPop content curators will sift through the submissions and prep the playlist for release! We look forward to seeing what you come up with! Ready to get started? Simply post your favorites below!

I am going to split my 10 picks up & do 5 of each category & offer some insight into my song choices if I feel necessary.I am trying to focus on songs that would be making their Songpop debuts.
5 Winter season themed songs:
1.The Main Drag~A Jagged Gorgeous Winter--A 2007 track I first heard & ended up singing in the Rock Band video game
2.TV on the Radio~Winter---A fresh track for 2014 off their brand new album, "Seeds"
3.Dex Romweber Duo~Camelia's Gone (Let It Snow)---A cool song from a great band to never appear in Songpop.Released in 2008
Why?~Eskimo Snow---Come on this is a great chance to get Why? in Songpop.Gotta start somewhere
Jens Lekman~The Cold Swedish Winter
5 Christmas holiday songs
1.CHRISTMAS TIME IS HERE-I would prefer the newly released version by Mark Kozelek (the voice behind Sun Kil Moon & Red House Painters) Although the original version of this holiday classic performed by Vince Guaraldi Trio for the 1965 Charlie Brown Christmas.Other accepted covers over the years have included Mayer Hawthorne,Sarah McLachlan,Damien Jurado,Ivy & Lonely Ghosts.
2.I Wish It Was Christmas Today~Julian Casablancas (of the Strokes)---This is a cover of a song that was first performed by various cast members on SNL.Oddly enough on spotify this song is listed as Christmas Treat.
3.Dropkick Murphys~The Season's Upon Us---Celebrate Christmas Boston Irish Punk style
4.Clarence Carter~Back Door Santa---A classic Soul/R&B classic first released in 1968
5.Yogi Yorgesson~I Yust Go Nuts At Christmas---A classic novelty holiday tune I never tire of.That was first released in 1949.Good news yes it is on Spotify!
That's it for me I wish I was allowed to name more.Fingers crossed that each & everyone of my 10 picks make the cut!
